DCF 251.07(2)(f) states, "A child may not be punished for lapses in toilet training."
Contrary to DCF 251.07(2)(f), according to staff interviews, it was determined that on 3/30/2023, at approximately 1:30pm, a 3.5-year-old child was knowingly left in urine-soaked clothes for at least an hour before being attended to. According to witness statements, the teacher of the 3.5-year-old child was heard yelling at the child for soiling himself. The same teacher was also heard stating that she felt that children should be potty trained by 4K and should know better. |
