Welcome to the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families' public search of regulated child care and YoungStar rated programs. Searching for safe, quality child care in Wisconsin has never been easier. Many providers are rated by YoungStar so that you can know how they measure up against research-based quality indicators. Child Care Name
If you are searching for a particular provider, you can search for them by name.  
Type of Child Care
Group centers typically provide care for more than eight children in
multi-classroom buildings. Public schools that are participating in YoungStar
will appear if you search for group centers.

Family providers care for eight or fewer children, usually
in the home of the caregiver.

Day camps are licensed, seasonal child care oriented to be outdoors.


Regulation
Select whether to limit your search to providers who are either licensed
or certified.


YoungStar Quality
Limit search based on YoungStar Rating.
All providers serving children ages 0 to 5 years who receive
Wisconsin Shares child care subsidy must participate in
YoungStar. Other providers may choose not to participate. Some
providers may not have been rated yet, even though they have
applied to participate in YoungStar.







Check back frequently. New provider ratings are added every week, especially three and four stars.
Time of Care
Limit search to providers who offer daytime care and/or night care.
"Daytime care" means the provider is open anytime between 5am and 9pm.
"Night care" means the provider is open anytime between 9pm and 5am.

Age of Child(ren)
Child care providers generally offer care for children of a limited age range.

Enter your child's age, or your children's ages here. If you have
more than two children, enter the youngest and
oldest ages of the children for whom you are seeking care.

Facility
If available, you can search for a specific facility by licensed facility
number, or provider and location number.
